Why ‘Sirius’?
The name "Sirius" finds its roots in a captivating encounter chronicled by Herodotus, a Greek traveler. During his expedition, he visited the isolated African tribe, known as the Dogon, during their year-long cannabis festival held every 50 years. The tribe referred to cannabis as the "two dog plant," linking it to the brightest star in the winter sky, Sirius A, also known as the "two dog star." This star was believed to be the origin of the cannabis sativa plant. Their legend considers this plant to be a cherished gift from the gods. While our journey initially centered around cannabis extraction, we have now expanded our expertise to encompass a wide range of botanicals. The name "Sirius" serves as a reminder of our humble beginnings and our unwavering commitment to capturing the extraordinary qualities hidden within various botanical sources.
